The Apollo 11 Lunar Module, carrying Neil Armstrong and Edwin Buzz Aldrin, performed the historic lunar landing on 20 July, 1969. The third Apollo 11 crew member, Michael Collins, remained in lunar orbit in the Command and Services Module.
